RED (Rapper, Entertainer, Drummer), born Jared Crawford, is a Las Vegas–based multidisciplinary artist whose work fuses hip-hop, live percussion, spoken word, and theatrical storytelling. Trained by Tony Award–winning New York bucket drummer Jared Choclatt, RED is known for transforming everyday spaces into high-energy performance environments that stop crowds and build genuine community.
With over a decade of professional experience, RED has performed on major stages and public spaces across the country, including headlining venues and opening for nationally recognized artists. He has been a featured performer with the cast of Alicia Keys’ Broadway musical Hell’s Kitchen, an opener for the U.S. Open, and a collaborator with organizations such as Teach For America, Google, and the Discovery Children’s Museum.
RED is a multi-year recipient of the Nevada Arts Council Artist Grant and is deeply committed to arts education and accessibility. His teaching practice includes bucket drumming residencies, workshops for youth, seniors, and special-needs participants, and community-based programming that emphasizes rhythm, self-expression, confidence, and joy. His approach centers on meeting people where they are and using music as a tool for empowerment and connection.
As a recording artist and live performer, RED’s work blends lyrical hip-hop with live instrumentation and movement, creating immersive experiences that challenge traditional genre boundaries. Whether performing on the street, in schools, or on stage, RED’s mission is to inspire, uplift, and remind audiences—especially young and underrepresented artists—that their voice, rhythm, and story matter.
